Feature Update 1.02 — Room Projection Builder and nDisplay Template Generation

This update introduces the new CRS Room Projection Builder, a dedicated editor tool designed to help users create custom projection setups directly inside Unreal Engine.

With this tool, users can build projection room layouts, prepare custom projection surfaces, and use them together with a specially prepared Deferred projection pass for Movie Render Queue rendering.

The new workflow is especially useful for projects that require non-standard projection surfaces, such as flat walls, cylindrical screens, spherical surfaces, dome-style setups, disk-shaped floor projections, and custom room layouts.

In addition, the Room Projection Builder can generate nDisplay configuration templates based on the created room layout. This makes it easier to quickly prepare a starting configuration for virtual production, projection mapping, immersive rooms, and multi-display setups.

Please note that the nDisplay generation workflow is intended as a fast template creation tool. It helps users create an initial room configuration much faster, but final nDisplay calibration, projector alignment, hardware setup, and production-specific adjustments may still need to be completed manually depending on the real installation.

Important Notes

  • The nDisplay configuration generator is focused on fast template creation and initial layout preparation.
  • Final nDisplay setup may still require manual adjustment depending on projector placement, display hardware, tracking, calibration, and the physical installation.
  • The custom projection workflow is designed to work with the specially prepared Deferred projection pass included in Camera Render Studio.
